The IC695CPU320 is a GE Fanuc/Emerson Automation controller module. The module belongs to the PACSystems RX3i controller platform. The controller can be used for efficient control of industrial machines and processes. It enables high-speed data transfer through Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) slots and supports serial backplanes for migration of series 90-30 I/O systems.

The IC695CPU320 has two (2) built-in communication ports that support RS232 and RS485 communication standards. These communication ports use the 90 Series Protocol (SNP) slave station mode to communicate with programming workstations, human machine interfaces (HMI), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. The controller can be installed in the Rx3i 12 backplane of slot IC695CHS012 or the Rx3i 16 backplane of slot IC695CHS016.

The IC695CPU320 has an internal Celeron M processor with a processing speed of 1GHz. It contains 65 MB of user memory, the contents of which are reserved by the Lithium Smart Battery Series 90-30 auxiliary battery modules with directory numbers IC695ACC302 and IC693ACC302 respectively. In addition, it has 64 MB of non-volatile flash user memory. In addition, these user stores support the reallocation of custom sizes of data and program stores. It supports up to 512 blocks, where the maximum size of a single block is 128 KB.

The IC695CPU320 supports most 90-30 series PLC I/O modules. This feature provides flexibility and is particularly useful and beneficial when upgrading the legacy 90-30 series to a modern PACSystems RX3i controller platform. This allows for a phased migration, in which the controllers and logic of the existing 90-30 PLCS are first migrated, followed by the I/O modules. PACSystem RX3i supports firmware modification.

Various accessories can be ordered for the IC695CPU320 module, Includes RS-232 cable (such as IC200CBL001 cable), smart lithium battery (such as IC695ACC302 battery), GE series 90-30 auxiliary battery module (such as IC693ACC302 module), rated voltage 120 to 240 volts AC, 125 Volt direct current and standard power supply of 40 watts. The GE Fanuc IC695CPU320 module is capable of executing 0.047 Boolean instructions in 1000 milliseconds. The module supports 512 blocks. The maximum block size is 128 KB. Two embedded communication ports are provided on the module, namely RS-485 and RS-232 ports. Supported serial protocols include SNP, Serial I/O, and Modbus RTU slave protocols.

The IC695CPU320 module uses the SNP slave protocol to communicate with the programmer and HMI over a serial port. The module communicates with the Smart Options module and I/O via a dual backplane bus. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius. The IC695CPU320 module supports both the serial backplane bus and the RX3i backplane bus, which absorbs 1 amp of 3.3 volts DC from the backplane and 1.2 amp of 5 volts DC from the backplane. Six leds are provided on the front panel for updating module status.
